Day 1 — Herbert Hoover National Historic Site

Today we begin our travels with a picnic lunch along the way. After lunch, we’ll visit Herbert Hoover National Historic Site, commemorating the life of Herbert Hoover, the 31st president of the United States. We’ll rest our heads in Coralville, IA tonight.

Day 2 — National Mississippi River Museum

Our first stop this morning is the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, a Smithsonian Affiliate filled with unique themes of a mix of the cultures. After lunch we visit the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium where history and rivers come alive. We’ll spend the next three nights in Dubuque, IA.

Day 3 — Tiffany Windows at St. Luke’s UMC

Featuring over 100 Tiffany stained glass windows, St. Luke’s UMC is home to the 5th largest collection of Tiffany’s stained glass in the world. After a picnic lunch, we’ll have a little free time before getting cleaned up for a relaxing riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River. We’ll spend our second night in Dubuque, IA.

Day 4 — House on the Rock

We’ll spend the day touring the House on the Rock. On your self-guided tour, you will explore some of the world’s most unique collections including the world’s largest carousel, a 200’ sea creature, automated music machines and much more. We’ll return to Dubuque for a third night.

Day 5 — Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

We’ll have a couple more stops before departing Dubuque including the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. We’ll take a stroll through all the beautiful trees and flowers of the season. We’ll stop for a picnic lunch at the Fulton Windmill Welcome Center before traveling to our hotel near Galesburg, IL.

Day 6 — Travel to Missouri

As our journey winds down, we will have great memories of the whimsical wonder of the House on the Rock, adventures in Dubuque, IA and plenty of new stories to share with friends. It’s time to start planning your next trip.
